Lorin & Edward’s wedding weekend was absolutely beautiful! ⛰️ They both started off their morning at the Skyline Lodge getting ready in quaint rooms overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. After photographing Lorin’s wedding day details, including her Nike sneakers she wore that day as her wedding shoes, she got dressed with her Mom and sister making sure every last detail was perfect! Edward was situated in the room just below Lorin’s cabin, keeping them separated until their first look. Edward wore a navy blue jacket along with classic cognac dress shoes. After he was dressed, Lorin wrote Edward a letter to read on their wedding day.

Skyline Lodge provides several gorgeous backdrops to choose from, including their fire-pit courtyard overlooking the mountains with luscious green trees off to the side. This is where they saw each other for their first time. We went on to explore the property taking portraits along the way. We had enough time to complete some family pictures before heading to Our Lady of the Mountains Church where they would have their ceremony.

Their ceremony space was decorated with delicate greenery, white roses and florals and small table candles. They choose a buffet style dinner home-cooked from the on site steakhouse. Their cocktail hour featured passed hor dourves, liquor, wines and tiny Heineken bottles in remembrance of Edward late father.

I was so impressed with the dress code of their loved ones. They showed up for the bright vibrant colored dresses with a variety of prints, texture and material. It enhanced their venue and photos so well! Lorin & Edward shared their first dance on the platform to the right of their reception space where their band, Head Up Penny kept the night alive playing a variety of songs from every genre, every generation.

It was such an honor being back at one of my favorite venues, Skyline Lodge, photographing a mountain wedding for Lorin & Edward. They choose some very talented vendors that I cannot end this post without mentioning!
